Data Deletion Policy

You can delete your ResQbag account and personal data at any time, directly from the app — you do not need to email us, and you do not need to give a reason. This policy explains exactly what happens when you do, what we are legally required to keep, and for how long.

1. Deleting From the App

Open Profile, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. Confirm when prompted. The deletion begins immediately and you are signed out. This is the fastest route and requires no correspondence with us.

2. Deleting Without the App

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, you can request deletion at resqbag.in/account-deletion, or by emailing support@resqbag.in from your registered email address or quoting your registered mobile number. We verify your identity before acting on the request, and complete it within 30 days.

3. What Is Deleted

Your name, nickname, email address, and mobile number
Your authentication record — you can no longer sign in, and the phone number or social identity is released
Saved bags, cart contents, notification preferences, and push notification tokens
Your stored pickup location and any location history
Any support correspondence linked to your account, once the matter is closed

Active reservations are cancelled as part of deletion. Where a cancelled reservation is refundable under the Refund Policy, the refund is issued to your original payment method before the account record is removed.

4. What Is Retained, and Why

A small amount of transaction data survives deletion because Indian law requires it. It is anonymised — permanently severed from your identity — so it can no longer be traced back to you.

Order and payment records	Retained 8 years (Companies Act, 2013 and Income Tax Act, 1961), in anonymised form
Tax invoices	Retained 8 years, as required for GST compliance
Fraud and abuse signals	Retained up to 3 years where needed to prevent repeat fraud
Crash diagnostics	Retained up to 90 days, not linked to your identity
Backups	Purged on the normal backup rotation, within 30 days

5. Timeline

In-app deletion	Personal data anonymised immediately; sign-in disabled immediately
Auth record hard-delete	Within 1 hour, by scheduled job
Backup purge	Within 30 days
Email or web request	Verified and completed within 30 days

6. Deletion Is Permanent

Deletion cannot be undone. We cannot restore your order history, impact statistics, or saved bags afterwards. If you would like a copy of your data first, use Download my data in the app (Profile → Download my data) before deleting, or email support@resqbag.in. If you sign up again later, you start with a new, empty account.
